Senior Archives Officer, Hongkong Land

Job Description

Hongkong Land Corporate Archives is a supporting function with the aims to capture the corporate memory since its founding in 1889 and to promote our corporate heritage and culture. We are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join the team:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing Archives and Records Management programmes
  • Perform arrangement, description and preservation of the collection
  • Oversee the operation of the Archives
  • Respond to reference enquiries received by the Archives
  • Assist in preparing and conducting oral history interviews
  • Assist in organizing and promoting the missions of the Archives
  • Support the administrative duties of the Archives
  • Participate in outreach programme to promote the Archives
  • Assist in ad-hoc duties for the Archives 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Archival Studies, Information Management, History or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in archives, library or records management is a MUST
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, detail orientated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and able to type Chinese
  • Experience in using collection management system is a MUST
  • Knowledge in film and audio editing would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Require lifting and moving boxes up to 10KG
  • Willing to participate in activities relating to the archives profession
  • Right candidate with less experience might be considered as Archives Officer position
