HSBC Archivist Asia Pacific

This is an exciting opportunity to join HSBC's team of archivists spanning London, Hong Kong, Paris and New York.

The role is based in Hong Kong and reports to the Archives Manager Asia Pacific. The jobholder will be responsible for supporting and strengthening HSBC’s corporate memory in Asia Pacific (ASP) in line with the organization’s purpose and strategy and providing expertise and hands on management for the Hong Kong archive collection, including appraisal, accessioning and cataloguing of physical and born-digital records. In addition the jobholder will support collection development through the selection and transfer of historical records from key departments, manage physical preservation projects and business continuity planning at the Archive Centre in order to protect the collections, and help communicate HSBC’s heritage to reinforce the bank’s values and drive engagement with clients, employees, shareholders, dignitaries, regulators, stakeholders, and other external guests. They will require curatorial and presentation skills to support outreach programs, such as our HSBC History website and tours and exhibitions at our popular Archives Gallery in Kowloon.
